Cyber Security is a BIG Issue for SMALL Business

FLINT — UM-Flint’s business bootcamp, [IN] on the Road, is starting a new session in October. Learn how to start and grow your business from UM-Flint faculty and staff and local entrepreneurs. The sessions will culminate in a pitch competition on November 8th. Thanks to generous support from The Harding Foundation, we are able to offer this at no charge to teens and adults. Medicare workshop

FLINT — Barnett Financial and Tax will be hosting a free public workshop on the topic of Medicare on Tuesday Sept. 25. Guest speakers Gwynn Sharick-Elberson and Joanne Giardini-Russell from Boomer Health Group are Medicare Specialists and they will be providing a wealth of information on the topic. There will be two presentations, one at 10 a.m. and another at 6 p.m. The seminars will be located at 8323 Office Park Drive. These representatives will also be available on Wednesday to those who attended a presentation and would like to meet to discuss their specific situation. — P.S.

FLINT — An end of summer party will be hosted by SERVPRO of NW Genesee County/ Fenton and SERVPRO of Grand Blanc/Lapeer, in conjunction with the Flint and Genesee County Chamber of Commerce. This Regional Chamber Networking event will be held Sept. 27 from 5 – 8 p.m. at SERVPRO of NW Genesee County, 5223 Commerce Road. This Regional Chamber Networking event will allow you to spend your after hours with friends and colleagues from the area. All Mid-Michigan Regional Chamber members are invited to attend - but you DO NOT have to be a chamber member to enjoy the festivities.
